How you can help Nepal earthquake victims

A devastating earthquake, measuring 7.9 magnitude struck Nepal on Saturday 25th April.

The death toll is currently over 4,600, with more than 9,000 injured and eight million affected across Nepal. It also triggered avalanches and destroyed many Nepalese landmarks and sacred sites.  One million children are urgently in need of help.

Every hour it gets more desperate. When disasters like this happen, people often feel helpless and don’t know what to do. We are all connected and even if all you can do is offer a compassionate thought of healing, this is help.

Mother Nature is a force beyond our control, she speaks through symbols.  She is shaking things up and asking for us to respect and connect to the Earth. Change needs to happen, a change that will lead to growth.

Below I have included links on how you can support – by donating to humanitarian groups and also by offering your energy and prayers.

You can also offer your energy and prayers for healing.  A suggestion is to do a guided Tonglen meditation for Nepal, check this post from the ElephantJournal
