Spiritual virtues

As consciousness levels rise on earth, people are finding their energy directed to realms they can neither see nor touch. Connecting to the spiritual realm nourishes the soul and is needed for the evolution of our species on planet earth.  Check here for some musings and a list of spiritual virtues to help your intention stay authentic and aligned with source.

To be spiritual is said to be a search for the sacred. To see the magic and connection in all that exists. To believe in something greater than the self. To be true. To be real. To listen. To understand. To trust. To be honest. To honour the self, the other and planet earth. To connect. To live with an open heart. It is absolute awareness and presence to all that is. A journey deeper into the self and the great consciousness that we are all part of.

Spirit permeates through everything that exists. We all come from spirit, it just depends on how many masks we have in place, and how focused we are on image and the outside world, to how much it is hidden. In this stage of our evolution we are called to connect back to ourselves and planet earth.

It is great to develop some kind of daily practice or ritual where you connect to yourself, your spirit and your heart. Learn to listen and trust what you already know. So often we carry things that are not our own and get lost in the madness. Ground yourself, know yourself, let go of what is not yours, open your channel and learn how to be your own guru. Believe what works with your own heart.

When you first wake up is perfect for your daily practice  – instead of checking electrical devices for messages, close your eyes, breathe, detach from thoughts and listen to what comes through your higher self.

Go within, write in your diary, drink hot water and lemon, put your bare feet on and connect to the earth, make food from scratch, stretch, go for a walk, have a bath or shower, play calming music, read the below list, check in with your body, hold a crystal, hug a tree.

Also, before you sleep, it is good to come back to yourself, take a few minutes and breathe, bring awareness to the breath and the body, let go of all the thoughts and actions of that day, ready to let your sleep repair and renew.

The below spiritual virtue list is taken from the Las Piramides  ‘Moon Course’ on Lake Atitlan in Guatemala. Here I found some of the most magical teachings I have experienced.
