Leonardo Dicaprio teams up with National Geographic to address the very real issue of climate change affecting us, and how we can individually and collectively take steps to heal “the most pressing environmental issues of our time.“
I found this scary, sad and inspiring in many ways. The earth is heating up and the biodiversity is dying. It’s real, happening and is the number one problem we face on earth – we are not respecting Earth and many of us have lost our connection to our beautiful planet. It deals with a lot of issues to take note of and one thing that really stuck out, was how we – the people – can stimulate change. First comes education on what is happening and then comes the want to change and the belief that we can all make a difference – a common thought is that we can’t change anything. I know that the evolution of Earth will happen anyway and it will naturally heat up, but things like palm oil consumption, beef consumption, coal, gas and wood burning are speeding up the process and killing the earth and many species in the process – including humans. We have to take notice and act for our future generations.
