How did you approach making the mix?
Kate Simko: I collected IDM and other melodic electronic music and found loose threads between them. It was chill and fun to make a mix just focused on the overall feeling.
How would you like for people to feel when they hear this music?
Peaceful, although however they feel is all good. One thing I love about music without words (classical, jazz, electronic, etc.) is that it’s not didactic. The journey is open-ended, there aren’t lyrics pushing the direction. So it’s an open journey, I hope people have a positive one is all.

Communication from the subconscious mind.
How has music helped to sculpt and guide you in life?
I started playing the piano when I was five years old, and it’s pretty much been a daily part of my life ever since. It’s affected my journey every step of the way, and colored my understanding of the world. Not only playing music, but being inspired by music scenes of the past, and learning about history and culture through music. Also, from my teens onwards the underground dance music scene introduced me to my dearest friends and guided my social life, and career. So yeah, music has been at the centre, and I don’t expect that to change.
What does the word ‘cosmic‘ mean to you?

A pineapple fact?
You can have your own pineapple plant (green leaves only) by cutting off the top and planting it in soil. I just found this online, and will test it out.
