Born in Mexico and now living in Ibiza, Hinnise has been steadily building his reputation on the underground scene of the island. He played a beautiful set to open Cosmic Pineapple in ibiza last summer, so we invited him to make us a Cosmix. Presenting Cosmix 23, a journey through the mystical, the warm and the deep dance floors of your electronic imagination.

Tell us about the mix:
This mix was inspired by world sounds and rhythms taking people on a journey into the unknown.
Where was it recorded?
In my home studio in Ibiza.
How would you like for people to feel when they listen to the mix?
I would like to share and transmit light frequency sounds to the people listening to this mix, so my intention is to make the people dance whilst in a reflective space.
How has music helped to sculpt and guide you in life?
Music has always been a huge influence on the person I grow into each day. Growing up I was surround by many genres of music such as salsa, cumbia, ranchera, hip hop, dance, techno and house music. They all play a part in the rhythm of my life.

Passion, culture, life… Sound is so important for our conscious evolution right now, for me, music is the frequency of the soul, it has the power to transform emotions, feelings and actions.
What does the word cosmic mean to you?
To me it means space full of life. A union of different atmospheres and prospective of energies, colours and frequencies.
Please can you give us a cosmic piece of art, quote or book that moves you?
La paz interior se encuentra en el universo y el miedo no existe. Es una ilusión.

What do you think is the role of the DJ in the modern world?
I feel it’s about sharing your work and life journey through the frequency of sound and to transmit positive vibes to the world.
How can we make the world a better place?
Working in collaboration and to support the well-being of our world.
Are there any causes you support that you would like to bring awareness?
By supporting my own personal growth this seems to be having an immediate effect on my loved ones which ripples out. So at the moment I am at a stage of supporting my own spiritual growth.
