Four years, 19 countries, and 24 experts in anthropology, medicine, ecology, and health have exposed the roots of our DNA and how to prevent the modern world from making you sick.
“Our roots. Our planet. Our future.”
As a whole, humans are growing further away from our connection with earth. Chemicals and poisons are everywhere – in the food we eat (Origins reminds us that food is medicine or food is poison – always go organic if you can, or even grow your own), water we drink (watch out for fluoride in tap water – it calcifies the pineal gland amongst other things) and the air we breathe (pollution is everywhere).
The planet is being destroyed – rainforests are needlessly and inhumanly cut down, killing many animals in the process (especially check for ingredients like palm oil in your food and household products and ensure it is ethically sourced), crops are genetically modified (Monsanto is one of the worst culprits – check their foods to avoid here), we don’t recycle enough, we overuse electrical products and needlessly exchange them for the newest thing, we don’t know how, where or by who our clothes and household items are being made, plus so much more is going on with negative impact on the environment.
As a society, we often feel that we can’t do anything about it and carry on doing what we have always done, not asking questions or making changes. This film is a good starting point to begin to ask the questions we need to ask to inspire the changes we need to make.
Every little bit helps and the change starts first within.
